What to do with leftover candy corn?We have a lot of leftover candy corn. I mean A LOT. I love the stuff but it’s hard to consume all of it on my own. Actually, it would be pretty easy but I think my lovely, caring wife might get on my case about not having enough variety in my diet, in which case she would prescribe some of these.

I have been asking friends what we should do with all this delicious candy corn. One person suggested making art projects with the candies, gluing them to construction paper to make pretty pictures. I thought perhaps they could be used as an ingredient in a recipe but cannot find one.

What would you do with a bunch of leftover candy corn?

You could send it to me. I love it.

  2. Depending on how much you have left, there are servicemen who love to have any kind of candy, especially stuff that doesn’t melt and is small packages so that they can either take it out with them or give it to the kids.

  3. Does it ever expire? It might actually last forever. But if not, I’ve seen some receipes for trail mix with candy corn. You could mix it up with the next batch of popcorn you make. I have a friend who does that with Raisinetts – I don’t see why you couldn’t do it with candy corn. If you really love candy corn I guess you could use it as a topping for ice cream or cereal or maybe put then in Rice Crispy Treats. I don’t even LIKE candy corn – yet I can’t stop thinking of the possibilites. God help me.

  4. Mix it with butterscotch pudding for a creamed corn dessert.

  5. Patti, you are a genius.

Denise, it doesn’t go bad but after a long time it dries out and becomes less appealing.

Cybele – what organizations do that sort of thing? Great idea!

  6. I’ve never done it, but here are a few I’ve read about:

If you want to send directly you can find a solider here:

(The site kept crashing my firefox but works fine in IE)

  7. NCA just sent a big shipment of candy to troops in Afganistan, actually. It’s a great idea if, as Cybele points out, the candy has a long shelf life and can hold up to some heat.
