So many choices! My first thought is political: I’d have to invite Barack Obama, Tim Russert, Abraham Lincoln, and Doris Kearns Goodwin so she could write a book about the experience. Oh, and with all these invitees, I’d *hope* that my hubby and extended family just so happened to “drop in” on the party to share cocktails with the lot of ‘em!

I would invite Al Swearengen, Seth Bullock, Doc Cochran, and Mr. Wu from the HBO series Deadwood because I LOVED that show and miss it dearly.

May Canadians enter? I’d invite my brother and sister-in-law and my sister-in-law’s sister and her husband, because they’re a fun group of people.

I would invite:
1. Andrew Zimmern. Then I would put extra delicious chocolate grubs in his chocotini.
2. Anthony Bourdain, because he is grumpy, and for the sheer joy of watching him interact with guest #3.
3. Gordon Ramsay, because having him and Mr. Bourdain in the same room would surely cause one of them to spontaneously combust.
4. Alton Brown. I figure me, him, and Andrew could enjoy the drinks and chocolate while Mr. Ramsay and Mr. Bourdain duke it out.

Then we could all bake a chocolate cake or something.

I would invite Ellen DeGeneres (for humor), Marie Antoinnette (sure she has some good stories), Rachael Ray (maybe she’ll bring some Yum-o food), and Johnny Depp (eye candy!).
