For those of you who do not remember Hilary, she was one of the lucky winners who won some of the green M&Ms in our Valentine’s Day giveaway. On Friday she sent me a message saying that she made a thank-you video for us, including her gobbling a bag of the sweet treats. Unfortunately, I was not able to embed it here but be sure to go watch it. I am especially touched because I think that’s the sign of true love, or at least appreciation. Online video is the new mix tape.
Hilary is not only a really cool person and candy lover, but she also is a fellow photographer, and a good one at that. Her creativity and passion comes through in her work and makes it even more beautiful. She also once made a cake of Grant’s tomb and used Smarties for the columns. I’d say it’s a pretty good likeness. My coworker Karen should have checked that out for inspiration before making her own cake.
Here Hilary is, at right in a self portrait, getting ahead of all of us in her Easter preparations. Or perhaps she dresses like that everyday. At any rate, we will have some more candy giveaways for Easter, so keep reading the Candy Dish Blog. And if you need a photographer in the LA area, talk to Hilary.
