If you have never encountered The Challah Connection, go check them out, especially if you are currently making plans for Rosh Hashanah, which starts on September 18. This online store recently had a contest for people to send in their favorite Rosh Hashanah memories. I sent in mine and she wrote back and said I had won. A few days later I got a box in the mail with a delicious chocolate babka. My lovely wife and I ate off that delicious treat for many days, until it was just crumbs.
Although the loaf was swirled or marbled (Susan is the real baker here so she knows the right term), the rich taste of chocolate was present throughout the whole thing. Delicious stuff.
