The Candy Dish Blog is the official candy blog from the National Confectioners Association. Here you will find all manner of information about candy, including recipes, new products, crafts and tips for parties and family fun. Candy and chocolate are some of the most fun foods in the world and we want to share that with you.
Enjoy yourself, comment and share our posts with your friends. Welcome to our world!
Our Comment Policy
We believe that the viability of the Web, and especially blogs, is in part due to its open dialogue style. As a rule, we do not moderate comments and will let you say what you want. We encourage you to comment on all our posts and engage in the discussion. However, we reserve the right to remove your comment if you use profanity, abusive language or other offensive conduct here. We don’t ask you to agree with what we or others say or share our tastes but we do ask that you keep it civil and family-friendly.
You would think this would not need to be said on a candy blog but we have had commenters step way over the line already.
Self-Promotion in Comments / Speaking as a Spokesperson for a Company or Organization - Go for it, but be transparent about it. Let us know who you are so we can tie your lovely personality to your products or web site. So if you are Jordan Jordan of Jordan’s Jordan Almonds Company, don’t sign in with a fake name and rave about your products. Tell us who you are and what makes your products great. We love to hear from people who are passionate about their products or services or positions. It makes the conversation more fun!
Contests
If you enter and win one of our contests, please know that you must be 18 or over and live in the continental United States to receive the candy.
We have a policy of not sending candy to children, so if you are too young by these guidelines, please be sure to let your parents know what you are doing and then send us their contact information if you win. We want parents to make the decision about what their children consume and would never presume to know what is okay in their homes. I know, we aren’t cool and we used to be different. Whatever. Someday when you have kids of your own you will understand and thank us for being so strict. Really, you will.
If you live outside the continental United States, you are still more than welcome to enter, and if you win we will be happy to send the prize to your friend in Anchorage, Bismarck, Carson City, Detroit, Evanston and on with the rest of the geographic alphabet. What a good friend you are to donate your prize to a friend like that!
